At the national level, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the HRSA Office of Women's Health has an initiative dedicated to emotional wellness in women, called "Bright Futures for Women's Health". The website has a wealth of information on overall physical and mental wellness for women across the lifespan. Access the Bright Futures website: http://www.hrsa.gov/womenshealth/ewtools/ywguide/young_intro.htm
Also, Bright Futures created a guide to health for young women, which can be accessed here: http://www.hrsa.gov/womenshealth/ewtools/pdf/BF_young_women.pdf
One item to watch for is the Women's Integrated System for Health Initiative (WISH) being developed by the North Carolina Institute for Public Health, the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, Maternal and Child Health Department and the UNC Center for Maternal and Infant Health. WISH is funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau at HRSA and will focus on providing a series of webinars focusing on creating shared leadership and partners among public health, mental health, and health care providers to better integrate women of childbearing year's mental and physical well being.
